How to Use Digital Nail Charms In Procreate

Digital Nail Charms that come from Dream Path Studio usually come in 3 formats. The same thing delivered in 3 different forms of files. WHY? Because different iPad's process at different levels and I wanted everybody to be able to use them.


Three Files Types:

Open the layers panel in the top right corner. Tap on layer 1 and click Reference.
In the layers panel add a new layer by clicking the + button.
The last button in the top right corner is a colour swatch. Drag and drop it into the nails.

The easiest, fastest and best file type for everyone to use is the Individual PNGs folder.


The GoodNotes and Procreate files can be imported into their respective apps. You'd have to jump back and forth between notebooks and canvases to copy and paste the charms.


How to Use the Individual PNGs:

In the layers panel add a new layer by clicking the + button.
You now have 3 layers Tap on layer 3 and click clipping mask. You'll see a small arrow appear next to the layer.

Inside a canvas in Procreate swipe down from the top right corner to reveal your control panel. Click windowed apps.

You can now push the bottom right corner of Procreate to resize the windowed app.

In the layers panel add a new layer by clicking the + button.
You now have 3 layers Tap on layer 3 and click clipping mask. You'll see a small arrow appear next to the layer.

Swipe up from the bottom to reveal your home page.

Find your Files app.

In the layers panel add a new layer by clicking the + button.
You now have 3 layers Tap on layer 3 and click clipping mask. You'll see a small arrow appear next to the layer.

Open the Individual PNGs folder.

Drag and drop into your artwork.

In the layers panel add a new layer by clicking the + button.
You now have 3 layers Tap on layer 3 and click clipping mask. You'll see a small arrow appear next to the layer.

Use the transform tool to resize and rotate as you need.
