General
Digital planning is the process of organizing, designing, and visualizing your work using digital tools—like an iPad or tablet—rather than pen and paper. As a nail tech, digital planning can completely shift how you run your business and create designs.

Digital planning = confidence + creativity + organization.
It helps you create faster, sell smarter, and stand out as a nail tech.
Getting started with digital nail planning is easier than you think — and way more fun once you try it! Here’s what you need:
1. A device – Most nail techs use an iPad, but any tablet that supports apps like Procreate, GoodNotes, or Canva will work.
2. A stylus – Like the Apple Pencil or any compatible pen for drawing and sketching.
3. Digital nail templates – That’s where I come in! My templates give you the shapes, layouts, and creative structure to plan full sets, collections, or freestyle designs without the stress of starting from scratch.
4. Your fave planning app – I personally recommend Procreate. Some people also like Goodnotes & Infinite Painter.
Once you download your templates, you can start sketching designs, planning collections, and even showing clients visual concepts before you touch a nail.
And if you're feeling stuck, I’ve got tutorials and tips to guide you through it step by step — you're not doing this alone!
Yes! I can help you plan using apps like Procreate, Procreate Pocket, Adobe Fresco, and Infinite Painter — all of which are designed for creative drawing and digital art.
That said, apps like GoodNotes are note-taking apps, not art-focused tools, so there are creative limitations when it comes to layering, blending, or creating detailed designs.
If you're using other drawing apps not listed here, you're totally free to explore — but just know I won’t be able to guide you through those workflows.
You can use an iPad, a tablet, Android or your iPhone to plan. But please do your own research on which apps are available for which devices.
